On Saturday, June 19th, Deception Pass has an unusually mild ebb at a convenient early afternoon time. This is a great opportunity to paddle in the current there for the first time. Participants must have the usual club gear, be eager to get wet, and willing to demonstrate a competent assisted rescue as both the rescuer and the person being rescued. A mix of new and experienced paddlers is required.
