ROUTE: Launch next to the Guemes Ferry Terminal; come ashore at Washington Park.
WHY THIS TRIP WILL BE AWESOME: The location is familiar and the distance is short but it is tricky to paddle a straight course when crossing a strong, 3.5 kt current. This will be a challenging paddle.

REQUIRED GEAR/PAPERWORK: HITW trips require a 14' or larger kayak with bulkheads, PFD, and dry suit. A VHF radio is strongly encouraged.

PARKING AVAILABILITY: Anacortes Waterfront Park and street parking near the Guemes Ferry Terminal. No parking fees.
