About this event

Dates: Wednesday, August 14 to Thursday, August 15, 2024

We will paddle from Deep Cove, BC up the west side of Indian Arm fjord to Granite Falls in the Say Nuth Khaw Yum Provincial Park. After setting up camp and having dinner, there will be an option to paddle up to the Indian River estuary to check out where the river meets the ocean. The next morning we will head back to Deep Cove, stopping to do a 3-5 mile hike on the Jug Island Beach Trail.

Indian Arm fjord extends north from Burrard Inlet. Among the scenic highlights are two waterfalls from the cliffs on either side of the fjord. Granite Falls tumbles down from a height of 150 feet whereas Silver Falls is hidden away in a steep-sided recess on the west shore.
